Mission Statement

The Sterny Way Foundation is a registered non-profit 501(c)(3) application pending organization whose principle purpose is to provide need based funding for children to support their participation in school and/or community sponsored athletic programs.

The Foundation wishes to express a "pay it forward" philosophy by providing assistance to those student-athletes whose opportunity to partake in sports is diminished because of economic hardship.

An assistance award can be given to a single recipient or an entire specified program in the hopes of helping student-athletes afford the essential equipment to participate at the basic level of competition. An example of such an award includes but is not limited to: current catcher's equipment, new wood/metal bats, uniforms, baseball shoes, football pads, soccer balls, softball equipment, sports teams in need of tournament registrations or travel funds to related events/competitions.

It is the expressed desire of the Foundation to provide as many assistance awards as is fiscally responsible subject to The Sterny Way Foundation Board's approval. The Foundation Board of Directors will meet as needed to review all submitted assistance award requests.
